Best lunchbox amp I've ever owned

I upgraded from a Victory Duchess to the MKX Lunchbox Head and I couldn’t be happier.

The clean channel is just as good as the Duchess — bright, sparkling and very articulate, perfect with my Strat. It has that same beautiful chime but with even more clarity and headroom.

But what really blew me away is the overdrive section. OD1 gives excellent classic rock crunch, while OD2 is absolutely phenomenal — tight, commanding, modern high-gain with fantastic definition, dynamics and sustain. Exactly what I needed for hard rock.

Two completely different and usable overdrive channels
Two master volumes (best solo boost I’ve ever had)
Two different reverbs
Effects loop
Very responsive to pedals

The amp is compact, surprisingly light and extremely well built. I can carry it myself and it fits perfectly in the car for gigs.

Overall:
This is easily one of the best lunchbox amps on the market right now. For me it’s a clear 10/10.

Ausstattung und Möglichkeiten sind enorm. Die Bedienung der Kanäle funktioniert richtig gut. Dieses kleine Top ist das 1. was alles kann was ich suchte:
Regelbarer Clean
Guter OD1 für Rhythmus-Arbeit
OD2 als Lead
Master schaltbar

Der Amp kann einen JVM, Bogner Helios und Ähnliche fast vollwertig ersetzen - ohne das Schleppen.

Die Lautstärke aus 50W 2xEL34 im vollen Modus ist gleichwertig eines 100W-Amp - kann enorm laut werden.
Die 9W werden zum Proben und kleinen Gigs schon ausreichen.

Richtig gut funktioniert hat der Amp eher mit V30 Lautsprechern. Über Greenbacks waren die Sounds viel zu bassig und der Lead zu spitz - leider nichtmal mit der Endstufenreglung zu kompensieren. Deshalb ein Punkt Abzug insgesamt.
