After the amazing team of Thomann delivered this beauty I was delighted to feel how good the basic setup was.
Almost zero frets buzzes, no sharp edges, no aesthetic problems, the thing was tight and ready to growl.
Their choice of using D'Addario as stock strings was pretty neat, I managed to play this bad boy for some solid hours before getting tired.
The only issue I've found on this model (and it's not the versatility since the pull/push active/passive mode and the tone knobs are handy) was the scale length and weight.
Sadly, this isn't a bass on the light side, and definitely not something I'd recommend to a beginner for its large scale unless the kid is into Prog/Metal genres, even though the core timbre is a nice chameleon, this bass is terrific at what was conceived for, harder music genres.
