The sound I was going for!

Put them on a 5 string jazz bass, haven't changed strings since. Aged like a fine wine, never fail to sit just where I want in the mix despite my bare minimum production skills. I use them for jazz, soul, R&B and a bit of funk here and there. Would recommend to anyone!

Confort exceptionnel

J'ai commandé ces cordes pour remplacer celles d'origine sur une Fbass AC5 (cordes traversantes).
J'ai été plus que conquis par ces cordes, le toucher des cordes est exceptionnel (très doux, ça glisse tout seul) et le son est excellent.
Donc rien à redire, ce seront mes cordes de références pour cette basse (elle aussi de référence) !

Pour le reste, Thomann oblige, service toujours impeccable!

Genauso müssen Flats klingen

Spiele schon eine ganze Weile LaBella-Flats auf meinem Fender Precision und bin vom Klang völlig überzeugt. Deshalb hab ich sie mir jetzt auch mal für den Yamaha 5-Saiter geholt. Das Ergebnis ist wie erwartet: einfach nur warm und soulig.
Nur im Aktiv-Modus bin ich noch etwas am kämpfen, da neigt der Bass jetzt etwas zum Dröhnen, zumindest im Probenraum. Aber das bekomme ich schon hin.
Solange ich nicht irgendwann auf meine alten Tage doch nochmal zum Metal-Genre wechsle, bleibe ich jetzt erstmal dabei ;)

Update 25.03.2026:
Ich hab mir unlängst einen weiteren 5-Saiter (Sire Marcus Miller V5) zugelegt, ebenfalls mit "Through-Body" Option. Auf dem wollte ich mal testweise diese La Bellas hier probieren - und musste zu meiner Verblüffung/Enttäuschung feststellen, dass die Seiden-Umwicklung am Ball-End für diesen Bass viel zu lang ist, auch wenn ich sie durch den Body aufziehe. Also Obacht beim Saitenkauf!

Je suis conquis par la sonorité riche de ce jeu. Malgré mes craintes il n'est pas trop rigide, il se bonifie avec le temps et devient encore plus velouté mais en gardant toutes les fréquences utiles. Même le slap sonne ! Bien sûr pas le son M. miller, mais un beau son de slap vintage.
