Very disappointing.

This set of Framus string was very disappointng to me. Bad feeling under the fingers, very short lifespan, meh sound. Never again.

Affordable and good!

I will be comparing this Framus set against a D'addario EXL 10-46 which are my main sets. Definitely can recommend these sets for a cheaper alternative, and a much better buy compared to the cheaper Harley Benton sets.

Pros:

Great sounds, they sound just as good as the EXLs while costing much less. Mids are good, I feel the bass is not as boomy as the EXLs (that might be a good thing for some people).

Feel out of the box is not as buttery smooth as the EXLs , but after some playing they feel better.

Single packaged strings in a paper bag (unlike the EXL which comes in a single plastic packaging.

Cons:

Packaging are paper, not air tight, therefore I don't think they will last rust free compared to the vacuum sealed EXLs.

Shorter wounded length on the wound strings (might be too short for longer scale length guitar. cannot personally verify)

I have had these strings in the past with no problems, but these particular sets all have rust spots on the plain strings, and on the plain portion of the wound strings. Basically useless, very disappointing.

Arrived already corroded!!!!

It's a sweet deal but, nevertheless, corroded since day 1? Probably sthing to do with their storage/packaging. Stay away!
