This was my first DR strings and also my first neons. My hands are sweating like crazy so i was looking for coated strings. Other coated strings i tried before were Rotosound Nexus and Elixirs but i liked sound of Neons better on my MTD Kingston Artist. As for a feel, I like feel of coated strings, so I had no problem with Neons. Also for me, visually very attractive on this particular bass (also orange). They stay fresh for long, but the coating is not that much durable for player playing aggressively - I slap and pop a lot so there is some color chipping especially on G string (mostly from bottom, so its not that visible). Other than that, solid strings.

I bought these strings for my Cort Action DLX and in bright daylight they look really good but if you use them with a black light infront of you they really start glowing.

The Bass stings are nice to play and have noc sharp edges and in standart tuning the have a nice tension.
I play them without am pick so the coloured coating is barely touched.
They have a nice warm sound at least on my Cort Action DLX.

One hint if you have a bridge where you have to pull the string through use some balistol on the stings so you don't scratch up the coloured coating.

This was one of the best buys i ever made, a set of nice looking nice sounding strings! Although if you play with a pick the coating will start to peel, as you use them the side that touches the frets will start to peel as well, nothing that makes them lose quality, but for the price the coat peels too fast. They are nice for using at a specific occasion.
