First microphone

Having relied for years on a microphone built into my gaming headset I decided to take a gamble and buy the Rode M1-S, this was the first professional microphone I bought and the intention is to use it for youtube vid recording and singing, so as you could imagine there is always going to be some anxiety to be felt when buying a microphone, as you're not sure which mic is good.

The first impressions of the mic was that there was a bit of weight to it, as I was not expecting it to be as heavy as it is. The design is solid and seems to be built to take punishment (drops to the floor etc) The set up with my Native Instrument Komplete Audio 6 was simple (don't forget to get an XLR cable). The sound quality is amazing, there was no background noise just crystal clear recording, was incredibly happy with this. Overall I am very happy with this microphone.

High quality mic

I bought this to use on gigs. I already have Shure SM58 and this looked comparable quality/price wise as well as it has switch which proved to be very useful. In practice most of my audience like its sound more than Shure. I already have good experience with Rode NT1 5th generation so it is no brainer to give mark "excellent" to this mic too.

Also ich habe ja schon einige dynamische Gesangsmikrofone gehabt, aber so ein hervoragendes hatte ich noch nie. Solch eine saubere Klangauflösung und Deteilreichtum der Stimme, hatte ich noch nie von einem dynamischen Mikrofon gehört. Habe selbst noch die K2 von Rode in meinem Tonstudio zu Hause. Die allein ist ja schon ein brutal gutes Röhren-Großmembran-Studiomikrofon. Deshalb wollte ich mal hören was das kleine Brüderchen so alles kann.

Hatte seit Jahren die Shure Beta 58A. Ich dachte, da gibts nix besseres. Von wegen! Die Rode M1-S ist so unglaublich gut, dass ich das erst gar nicht glauben konnte. Auch die Rückkopplung-Standhaftigkeit ist der Wahnsinn. Selbst bei empfindlich hoher Gain Einstellung am Keyboard und mit Lautsprechern, die ca. 1,5 m daneben stehen, gibts nicht einen Rückkoppler. Das Ding arbeitet wie vom anderen Stern. Die Shure wird jetzt zu meinem Ersatzmikro und geht ganz schnell in Rente.

Rode M1-S ist um Galaxien besser!!!! Absolute Kaufempfehlung für alle anspruchsvollen Sänger.

Le micro de réference !

J'ai acheté ce micro, connaissant la réputation de la marque.

La construction est très robuste, très bien finis et beau. Les accessoires sont eux aussi bien construit. La pochette fournie est très pratique pour le transport. Le micro et son attache se fixe sur tout types de pieds.

Niveau son, cela correspond parfaitement au chant mais est aussi bien pour les instruments ( violoncelle, guitare... ). Il n'est pas typé et retranscrit parfaitement le son de la voix.

Je le possède depuis plus d'un an. Je n'ai eu aucun problème avec et il est toujours comme neuf. Si je devais refaire un choix, je le reprendrai sans hesiter ! Je le conseille !!
