Sono passato dalle Dr sunbeams alle Dunlop Super Bright e infine alle Pure blues.
Le sunbeams mi sembrano troppo gommose però il feeling del round core con le Super Bright non c'era e mi mancava.
Corda morbida ma non floppa. Risposta simile all'acciaio. La trovo più mediosa delle Sunbeams. Al tatto però un pochino più ruvide

I was looking for some new strings and came across a review from Victor Wooten who had changed his string provider to DR, talking nicely about the DR Blues.
So I decided to give it a try. And wow!! So nicely made strings. They have a beautiful sound and the feel can't be found on any other strings.
All of a sudden my basses rose to a new level! I've now changed all of my basses strings to DR Blues.
It's all about taste, my taste might not be the same as yours, but if you like that punchy funk sound with some lightness when you play, these strings are definitely for you!

Great strings. In the past months I crossed with DR and since then all of my basses now officialy running DR strings. My two favorites are now this and the Hi-Beams. Hi-Beams sound more modern whereas this has more mids. Compared to the other strings I used (long time ernie ball user here, bit of rotosound and D'addario too) and compared to them, DR strings (this and Hi-Beams in particular) sound much more even string by string.

I did not buy it particularly because of Wooten (although I love the guy), I purchased it because of the gauge. Sadly there is no any other DR set that has this gauge. A dream to play on!
