Those (and SAL-10) are the strings Alexi used for his recordings and live sessions, so this was the reason I initially got them years ago.
Well, years have passed and I still prefer them to any other strings on my guitars - there is nothing I dislike about them. Great tone, perfect duration, nice touch. Those are also cheap, so you cannot really go wrong here.
Oh, and they taste great.

I am a big fan of DR Strings. This set feels a bit like the tite fits, but with the added coating it lasts a bit longer. It feels a bit slippery to me, so I stick with the tite fits. It sounds great, feels great and plays great like any other DR. Highly recommended.

... aber doch sehr eigen. Normalerweise spiele ich immer Elixir Saiten. Ich hab mir aber mal aus Zufall auch diese Saiten bestellt, da ich doch ziemlich gespannt war, wie diese klingen würden und wie sie sich anfühlen.
Zuallererst, sie klingen um Welten anders, als die Elixirs. Nicht schlechter, aber auch nicht besser. Ich finde sie sowohl höhenlastiger als auch "metallischer". Typischer Laiho; mit den richtigen Einstellung an Amp/Effekten und gedöns, sind diese Saiten ein kleiner aber notwendiger Schritt zum typischen CoB Sound.
Bespielen lassen diese sich auch ganz gut. Jedoch habe ich das Gefühl, dass sie sehr... "rutschfest" sind. Ich musste sie leider vorher immer ein wenig "einfretten".
Mein erster Satz musste nach 2-wöchigem Gebrauch schon ausgetauscht werden, da die tiefe E-Saite gerissen ist. Kann aber bei jedem Saitensatz passieren.
Aber im Großen und Ganzen sind diese Saiten gar nicht mal so übel. Wenn man auf den Sound steht und gerne mal CoB spielt, dann sind diese Saiten die richtige Wahl. ;-)
