Acquisto corde D'Addario per molti dei miei strumenti e devo dire che non mi son mai pentito. Queste le monto su un mandolino The Loar LM-310F-BRB e devo dire che ne valorizzano il suono alla grande. Si ottiene un buon equilibrio tra acuti e bassi dello strumento.

Perfette e di ottima qualità. Montate su mandolino Harley Benton HBMA-50E Mandoline BK il suono è spettacolare. Consegna nei tempi stabiliti.

My favorite Mandolin strings

I am playing mandolin professional and i need good strings that last for a while and will give a great and a bright tone. I have A style and F style mandolins and I used many types of strings like : Elixir, Martin, Thomastik, GHS and other. The Daddario EJ74 are my all time favorite. Great quality, crisp and balanced sound. Fits great to my style.
Please take care that there are 2 types of strings. The ones with loop end and those with ball ens (like electric guitar) so order what is fits your instruments.
I will keep use the Daddario EJ74 for my mandolins and highly recommend them!

Great strings, if a bit pricey

So my mando luthier put these on my Weber Gallatin after setting it up and they do sound great. They've been on there for several months now. I use GHS fast fret before and after playing, which I believe has also contributed to their logevity.

They still play smooth, though the tone is of course completely dead. If I were to gig with the strings or record I would change them more often. If and when that becomes the case I will likely look for a cheaper alternative.

But for casual (what's casual? I play 1-2 hours a day) home use and with a little care they remain playable for quite a long time, surprisingly.

Now if only Harley Benton would start producing a cheaper coated alternative.....
