I finally bought one, Yippeee!!

Fantastic guitar, it feels nice in the hand, feels nice to play and thats apart from looking great. The only niggle I have is that you would have thought for a quality guitar like this, Yamaha would have set the string heights etc up at the factory for you, so you can take it out the box, tune it, and jump into action with it. When I got this out the box and tuned it the strings buzzed on the frets and it just wasn't set up. So I spent the morning trying to dial this in nice however since I'm not a professional my guitar will need to be sent off to get it set up properly, as you can guess a real pain! This could easily be done before it Left Yamaha factory to give the customer a fighting chance of playing it the moment its delivered, to make it a perfect experience for the customer. I ended up setting the guitar up by using the instruction manual for the heights of the strings and buying some radius gauges, but I would say the action, as specified in the manual, is a bit high maybe at 2.4mm...... no idea will need to consult a professional guitar technician. If this was delivered with a good set up so you could play it I would have given a perfect 5 star.

Ich habe bereits mehrere Pacifica aus der Reihe 612 und kann bestätigen, daß die allgemeine Fertigungsqualität wirklich sehr respektabel ist.
Gute Hölzer, gute Hardware und eine Verarbeitung, die noch längst nicht bei allen Mitbewerbern Standard ist.
Allerdings kann es sein, daß man die Saitenlage ein wenig justieren muß, wenn man zum Beispiel eine andere Saitenstärke (in meinem Falle 10er Saiten) aufzieht.
Ein anderes, aber ebenfalls leicht zu behebendes Manko ist die Tatsache, daß bei einigen Exemplaren die Oktavreinheit nicht ganz sauber eingestellt ist.
Auch wenn Yamaha (wie viele andere Hersteller) in den letzten Jahren die Preise erhöht hat, ist die Gitarre immer noch in einem wirklich attraktiven Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

Der Klang ist wie schon andernorts beschrieben etwas bassiger und auch mittiger als man es vielleicht von einer Strat gewöhnt ist, aber mir gefällt es so sehr gut. Bei leicht crunchigen oder verzerrten Sounds klingt das in meinen Ohren wirklich toll.
Wer lieber einen wirklich glasklaren Sound liebt, sollte sich vielleicht mal die entsprechende FGN Strat-Inspiration anschauen.

Na und der Farbton (Fired Red) hat mich letztlich überzeugt diese Gitarre zu kaufen. Das ist natürlich sehr subjektiv aber wer von uns ist schon komplett unvoreingenommen und neutral in solchen Dingen?

Hola vengo de una pacífica 112v como me ha salido tan bien esa guitarrit que me decidí por su hermana mayor la 612. Su aspecto es mucho más elegante en persona que en fotos, tiene un sonido estupendo y ninguna de sus pastilla mete ruido, la utilizo con un boss katana 100 y va de lujo, es cómoda, su mástil desplaza muy bien, viene con cuerdas 9,42 que para mi gusto son muy delgadas pero sin problemas se cambian, Si has probado una pacífica de gama inferior y te ha gustado, esta te encantará, por lo general toco estilos variados como punk, funky, pop, rock, un poco de metal y en todos los terrenos me ha respondido muy bien, utilizo con multiefectos el mooer prime P2.

La guitarra tiene unos acabados y detalles que se notan que le han puesto cariño y atención al construirla. Sin duda la recomiendo, tengo más guitarras y puedo comprar bien las calidades, poseo una ibanez prestige 652, Ibáñez RG 565, pacífica 112, GTRS P800 y una fender standar plus mexicana, por lo que tengo buen material para comparar y sin duda esta muy por encima de la fender.
Thomann como siempre eficiente en los plazos de entrega y el paquete muy bien protegido. Hasta luego

tolle Gitarre mit exzellenter Hardware

Warum die Yamaha Pacificas so ein unscheinbares Dasein fristen, ist mir wirklich schleierhaft. Diese PAC612 ist mit sehr guter und im Einzelverkauf auch teurer Hardware ausgestattet. Sie ist toll verarbeitet und abgestimmt und sieht für meinen Geschmack in Fired Red wirklich super aus. Die Pickups klingen klar und die 5 Schalterpositionen bringen deutlich hörbare durchsetzungsfähige Sound-Varianten. Dazu kommt noch der Coil Split für den Humbucker. Als 10er Spieler musste ich mich an die 9er Saiten zuerst noch gewöhnen. Ich werde aber bei dieser Saitenstärke bleiben.
Die Pacifica ist völlig esoterik- und voodoofrei, das wird dem ein oder anderen vielleicht zu wenig Mojo sein. Wenn einem dieser Zauber nicht wichtig ist, bekommt man hier für unter 1000 Euro eine super solide, sehr gut bespielbare, stimmstabile und toll verarbeitete Gitarre.
