Sono molto contento di questo acquisto.
In particolare il fatto che sia silenziosissimo: non produce alcun ronzio, a prescindere dal volume e anche con gli acuti al massimo. Questo grazie anche alla mancanza della messa a terra. Altri amplificatori, anche molto più costosi, sono invece molto rumorosi. Non può fare nulla contro il normale ronzio di pickup single coil, ovviamente, ma non produce rumori, gli unici udibili sono quelli che provengono dallo strumento e da eventuali pedali.
Per il resto è un amplificatore piuttosto robusto e molto semplice: 3 bande di equalizzazione, due ingressi e nessun'altra regolazione o effetto.
Il tasto on/off è scomodo da raggiungere essendo sul retro, ma anche questa soluzione è stata pensata per ridurre al massimo i rumori.
Non prevede nessun tipo di uscita (a parte quella per le cuffie), e questo potrebbe essere un problema per qualcuno, ma non per chi lo usa solo in casa.
Segnalo che la manopola del volume non influisce sul segnale dell'ingresso aux.

Per iniziare è un buon strumento, per un 40 watt pensavo avesse più volume, al massimo suona bene con una batteria

This is a nice little amp that will do the job for light play or home practice. Don't expect it to be heard over any drums. That's not what this amp was made for.
It is somewhat lighter than I expected, given its size.
You'll hardly annoy any neighbours with it. It is really just a nice practice equipment with a nice sound to go along.
I like that Warwick put the power cable as far as they could from the sound circuits. I haven't heard any buzzing or crackling. It hasn't got much volume, but it handles well what it can give.
If you're looking for a practice amp, go for it.

Choose the BC40 over the BC20

After reading reviews here and elsewhere I initially chose the BC20. It sounded very good, but was missing a little something. You really do need a 10" speaker like in the BC40 to produce a full bass sound.

The clean tone at any volume is ideal for practicing as every subtle flaw is clearly audible. It makes you better faster as you hear inconsistencies in playing technique. You hear the instrument, and unlike the Fender Rumbles 15 and 75 --which also have a (nice) specific sound and have their place-- all frequencies come through clearly and at equal volumes with Warwick. The BC20 also did this, but was missing some bottom end, especially compared to a Rumble 75 I was also using at the time. So after a few weeks I sent it back, and with great service from Thomann upgraded to the BC40. The improvement was instantaneously noticeable and months later I am still very pleased and highly recommend the Warwick BC40.
