Warburton machining is back to excellent

For many years I have struggled to find good Warburton parts that screwed together perfectly. This latest top seems to have a slightly tweaked rim and cup, the blind hole threading has knurling at the bottom of the thread so it cannot jam. This sounds and plays very well. Warburton recommend their most common sale is a 4M plus 7 backbore which is what I play. This has a full enough sound on low notes but easier high register with a fairly small cup, it's almost magic versus other makes to compare the efficiency of note production and only a GR tech 65M-B feels less effort to me. The 4M is as Warburton describe, shallow yet good enough tone for any style (with an appropriate horn and backbore). If the rim is too flat and sharp try a Reeves 43 series in standard and W rim.

Viele Jahre habe ich Yamaha Mundstücke gespielt und war auch sehr zufrieden - bis ich bei Recherchen in einschlägigen Trompeterforen immer wieder "Warburton" gelesen habe. Da ich tendenziell einen mitteltiefen Kessel bevorzuge, fand ich die Kombination eines Cup-Mundstücks mit einem V-Kessel sehr interessant. Für meine Einsatzzwecke (trad. & konzertante Blasmusik) ist das Warburton Konzept mit wechselbarer Backbore m.E. sehr vorteilhaft - für Obligattrompete in der traditionellen Blasmusik kombiniere ich das 4M mit KT* oder NY. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass sich die Töne oberhalb C''' besser kontrollieren und stressfreier Aushalten lassen.
Einzige Kleinigkeit die mir nicht so sehr gefällt ist die Oberfläche. Die Versilberung scheint mir nicht so wertig.
Ansonsten war der Thomann Service & Lieferung wie immer tadellos!!

cette embouchure convient pour le classique et le jazz parfaite avec la queue NY pour un son large ou la queue Q ou Qm pour plus de facilité dans les aigus

Ich habe lange Bach Mundstücke gespielt und habe etwas mit mehr Allround-Fähigkeit gesucht. Das Warburton 4M bietet genau das! Ohne Kompromisse im Sound durch eine entsprechend große Backbore wie z.B. die 7* gibt das Mundstück etwas mehr Offenheit und Support nach oben. Für Crossover-Projekte perfekt geeignet!
