This is a must have mouthpiece for any altoist, wanting to play lead or blend-in section stuff.
The 7 facing is old school 80 thousands of an inch, for those of you who need to know.
In my opinion it has made the old V16 S & M models redundant (I have both, so can compare).- All of the best qualities from both of those rolled into one great piece.
I will also add, having spent a lot of money in the past on fully hand finished, exotic, vintage copies, this at a fraction of the price, actually delivers - and get this, I played a gig last Saturday, against 2 guitars, an electric keyboard and trumpet straight in my face and I could still hear myself cut through without any amplification, I was still able to articulate without over blowing, although having said that, it will stand up to a lot of air being pushed through it and also has a great facility to reach the desired altissimo and smooth transfer through all registers, no question..
Don't just take my word for it, why would you, you don't know me, get one on apro. and try it out first.

This is my new favourite mouthpiece! I play this with the Vandoren Green Java 2.5 reeds. This piece gives me a stunning warm soft tone and when you push air through you get that big fat funky sound for other types of music. Easy to play, good airflow, good articulation and top product! I will use this piece for a long time.
