Got it by UPS a few weeks ago and as soon as I unpacked it couldn’t believe the beautiful engraving on the bell which reminded me of the Olds Recording of years passed! The horn looks like a million bucks! Has a warm big sound and a great intonation just like the super professional ones! Amazing instrument which allows me to play every style! I’d like to congratulate Thomann for the correctness in all their transactions, I’ve been a customer for many years and I’ve never encountered any problems along the way and if they came up were quickly solved! Keep up the good work guys! 🪇🎺🪇

My first trumpet

I can't say much as a beginner but I think this instrument has a higher quality craftsmanship than other ones in its price range.
I just love the tone quality and I feel something darker and more intimate in the sound with the larger bore.
I'm sure it was the best choice for me considering my budget and the sound what I am looking for.

An Impressive Horn For Student Or Professional!

This horn is a winner! As a performing jazz musician and educator, I was looking for a reasonably priced backup trumpet that was good enough to play on stage. To my surprise, this beautiful Thomann TR-800L truly exceeds my expectations.

At $450 with shipping to the USA, this large bore gold lacquer horn arrived in just a couple days shipped from Germany. Upon opening the case, I was amazed at the impressive design and superb build quality of this instrument. With a hand-hammered one-piece bell, super smooth and fast Monel valves, and precision craftsmanship throughout, I was amazed at the world-class quality at this price point.

This Thomann trumpet plays on par with professional horns. The look and sound quality is so close to my Schilke B3 trumpet it is remarkable. This is a very versatile trumpet with a rich tone and very precise intonation top to bottom. I can go from a dark and intimate ballad horn to an altissimo screamer with just a simple change of mouthpieces.

Either this large bore TR-800 or the medium-large bore TR-4000 would be a fine instrument for any aspiring student or professional. Check out these superb trumpets for yourself... you'll be glad you did.

I’m a new player and started out on a $100 cornet off of Amazon…this was a HUGE upgrade! Not only did it hit the proper note with little effort, but this horn is gorgeous to boot. While I may have never heard of Thomann before, I can safely say that I am now a fan for life.
