tc electronic Combo Deluxe 65' Preamp

Ero alla ricerca di qualcosa per poter entrare in diretta nel PA utilizzando la mia solita pedaliera che collego totalmente "in front" all'amplificatore clean (Peavey Classic 30) senza svenarmi ma con una buona qualità. Ho casualmente trovato questo pedale e dopo aver visto le pochissime demo presenti all'epoca (settembre 2023) e aver chiesto inutilmente pareri in giro (nessuno lo conosceva) ho provato a comprarlo, un po' alla cieca. Una delle migliori spese mai fatte! Il suono è, per i miei gusti, fantastico! Molto dinamico e caldo! Nulla di paragonabile ad un vero amplificatore valvolare, ma per quello che costa tira fuori una qualità davvero notevole! Dopo aver aggiornato il firmware il suono che produce è pure migliorato ulteriormente! Ho anche avuto modo di farlo provare ad un rinomato turnista molto preparato nel campo dei suoni di chitarra, e anche lui è rimasto stupito dalla qualità, addirittura preferendolo (parole sue) ad un altro pedale molto simile ma anche molto più blasonato e costoso! Certo, non è che lo tiri fuori dalla scatola e suona, devi lavorare un po' sulle regolazioni, ma nulla di complicato. Insomma, un acquisto che mi sento di consigliare caldamente a chiunque voglia entrare in diretta nel mixer con la propria pedaliera di sempre con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo! Magari non per suonare a San Siro, ma se fate locali, feste all'aperto o realtà non di altissimo livello, sicuramente vi darà soddisfazione! Complimenti a TC Electronic e anche a Thomann per averlo messo tra le proprie proposte!

my issues with the pedal are that switching between channels doesn't sound smooth, and that the reverb needs a little bit more work - a little more decay would have been more authentic to my ears. Otherwise the reverb sounds great, it has a nice drippy feel you'd expect from it. Comparing to the real thing it's hard to tell the difference overall.
Other than that I plug in my strat/tele straight into a PA and I get two very usable and authentic sounding/feeling blackface channels. Simple to use. Takes pedals (boost/OD) great. I tried the headphone jack - the volume and gain controls affect the volume level of the headphones so if you dime the gain and volume for tone it will be very loud in your headphones. So far there has been one firmware update which was an improvement - you can read about it from TC - I find their description accurate. One thing I question about the pedal is in it's logo inscription - 65' means 65 feet - distance. Not year. This pedal has been a great value to me as it's compact, takes very little power ( Under 300mA - I've used a power bank to power it with the Joyo USB power converter, which goes up to 450 mA if I remember) and it's very simple to use because of it's traditional/analog layout of the controls and lack of a screen and menus to scroll down. Most of all - It feels great under the fingers when you play, interacts with the guitar volume and tone controls as you would expect. I've also put all kinds of pedals before or after it with good success. I've recommended it to other musicians who, like me, liked it very much. I've had/have Kemper, HX stomp, humboldt simplifier, SansAmps and flyrigs, Korg Pandora, Cuvave Cube Baby, all kinds of emulation in the past 25 years, this one is my favorite. I hope this helps.
