Ottime Valvole

Ho messo queste valvole in un vecchio ampli della Geloso customizzato per chitarra, Sono valvole eccezionali, senza rumore di fondo, belle reattive, dal suono caldo, come da tradizione della Electro Harmonix.

Industry standard 6v6 tube

The EHX 6V6GT it's a very good tube, able to provide a very rich tone and a notable lifespan, with a very consistent performance all around.

While used on clean, it shows a tendency to scoop the mid range a bit, providing a thick bass and a glassy high range; all this without resulying in any kind of muddiness whatsoever.

Overdriven, we can appreciate a fantastic harmonic richness, and a great dynamic response, with heaps of sustain if pushed for good.

Putting a classic overdrive such as the Ibanez TS808 makes it really shine.

I personally use it on an Ibanez TSA15H head, and am very happy with the overall performance it gives.

Definitely recommended.

classic 6V6 sound - reliable

I use it as an upgrade for the VHT Special 6. I play blues, jazz, surf, classic rock mainly with strats.

Specs

Looks sturdy. It has a classic size rather than the taller JJ.

Sound

This tube has a full sound with plenty harmonics. Compare to JJ6V6 has more mids, crunch and a bit lower headroom. I use it at home in order to crank the amp easily without excess volume. A nice upgrade to the stock Chinese tubes usually supplied with small practice amps.

It?s the second time I buy this tube for the amp and I am satisfied. Recommended.

Good thing

3 1/2 month ago i bought the Harley Benton Tube Celestion 5 watt amp....great little thing but after 3 months it stopped working due to a failing power amp tube. Thomann send me this one as a replacement. it's well working again and with less noise...the old tube gave bangs and crackles after 2 months....before it stopped completely. Thanks Thomann.
