Sweet grind and low

I have had an SH4 (or JB) on a single pickup guitar for a long time - it predates Seymour printing their name on their pickups) and it has always sounded great so when I was looking for a replacement for a 'Duncan Designed' pickup on my 7 string, this was the obvious choice and what a great difference it is. The orignal pickup was ok but this one really shines, handles the low notes great and is pure snarl through a Marshall. I wire most humbuckers through a 3 way (series/single coil/parallel) switch and a 1Meg pot direct to the jack - glorious! Pinch harmonics just fly off the strings, sustain is great, output enough to push the amp but not too silly and retains a great, rocking tone while not at all bad clean.

Everyone knows and loves the JB and this is it in a 7 string form. Great mid-high output. Super versatile
