A great sounding small cajon for kids

I bought this cajon for my son's fifth birthday, and both he and I have really enjoyed playing it ever since. The sound is great especially considering the small size of the resonant chamber. The snare sound is tight and responsive and the low kick sound is actually quite deep, I found I had to hold my palm on the top of the playing surface to stop the kick sound from causing the snare to resonate, but with my weird playing style it works great! Its very fun to play breakbeats etc
The quality of the wood is very good too, ours has had a few knocks and kicks and even been used as a small coffee table from time to time, it has coped with all of this well and shows no signs of wear. We are very pleased with it!

Coins trop saillants

Dommage que les coins au niveau de la frappe soient aussi saillants, surtout pour un cajon destinés à de enfants. Attention aux "bobos"!

Solider Sound für Kinder, allerdings auf wackligen Fuß

Vorne weg, es ist unsere 2. Kinder Cajon, da beide Kinder bereits in sehr jungen Jahren mit ihrem Papa mitspielen wollen (2 Jahre und 3 Jahre alt).
Im direkten Vergleich mit der 75€ Schlagwerk Cajon fällt einem sofort die etwas kantigere/grobere Verarbeitung auf. Die ist aber vollkommen in Ordnung.
Größtes Manko ist, dass sie ohne Unterstützung nicht gerade steht und etwas wackelt (Hartplastik-Füße). Das ist mit Filtzaufklebern aber schnell ausgeglichen.

Soundtechnisch gefällt sie uns sogar besser, als die Schlagwerk Konkurrenz, da der Sound, trotz ähnlichen Snareteppich weniger scheppert, und wir bevorzugen diesen Sound :)

Alles in allem kann ich jetzt mit beiden Kids und insgesamt 3 Cajones unsere kleine Familien-Band rocken. Dafür ist sie absolut geeignet :D
