The almost perfect clean boost

Everything's mint except the big knob that your actually use to adjust the volume - it's somewhat meant to be foot operated but it doesn't have a marking facing the player which makes it a sort of adjust by feel type of thing. The pedal itself colors the sound slightly and has tons and tons of volume especially on the boost mode - enough to actually explode your amp, your ears and the walls of your house. Truly a feat of engineering - 10/10 recommend for a clean fender style amp.

The Keeley Katana does exactly what it is designed for : a 100% ultra clean boost without any coloration in the treble or medium or bass.
It makes the guitar and the amp shine together like never before.
I currently have 5 supposedly transparent boosts (very famous ones) on the shelves because they aren’t actually transparent.
The Katana is beyond awesome.
Only thing : you never know where you are with the potentiometer.
I had to ink it with levels.
How could they miss that at Keeley ?
Nothing dramatic though.

Grandioser Sound!

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Booster, der im Zusammenspiel mit meinen Overdrive-Pedalen die ganze Kette nicht zum Rauschen bringt und den Sound nicht verfälscht, ihn einfach "geiler" macht.

Habe mir zuerst den kleinen Katana gekauft; guter Sound, allerdings war dann hier bei hohem Gain doch ein lautes Rauschen im Amp zu hören - nichts für mich. Der große Katana macht das nicht und klingt wirklich bombastisch. Mein ToneKing klingt schon ohne alle richtig gut, aber mit dem Katana hat das Teil irgendwie noch mehr sexappeal. Absolute Empfehlung.

(Ein Stern Abzug gibt es aber für leichte Lacknasen auf der Oberfläche, stört mich aber in der Gesamtbewertung nicht.)

Boost bien construido que te da un aumento de hasta 30 dB en la cadena. Saca muy buenos armónicos.
