Souhaitant "monter en gamme" et acquérir une Telecaster en ayant déjà une Strat' Classic Vibe je me suis tourné vers la nouvelle gamme Player II de chez Fender.

La qualité Made in Ensenada n'a pas à rougir des standards américains et à peine sortie du carton tout sonne parfaitement, les cordes ne frisent pas. Les micros Alnico5 ont un super rendu et le "twang" caractéristique d'une Tele est au rendez-vous.

Les finitions sont très bonnes, pas une frette ne dépasse, pas un seul accroc et le palissandre apporte une touche chaleureuse en accord avec la version Polar White.

Ayant hésité entre la première génération de Player et celle-ci je ne regrette pas l'investissement supplémentaire qui vaut chaque centime !

I've had five Fender American made guitars, but this one really surprised me with top notch quality from body, a soft playing neck and solid hardware. In comparison, I would say that this Mexican Tele is a real gem and worth every penny, whereas the current line of American Teles to my mind are over-priced. This is a keeper!

Wollte extra eine Telecaster um mich als Anfänger nicht mit zu vielen Einstellungen zu verzetteln, die man sowieso nicht richtig einsetzen kann. SS mit 3 Einstellungen reicht völlig, HSS hätte mich mit 5 Einstellungen schon überfordert. Clean klingt wie erwartet gut.

Optisch finde ich sie auch sehr schön. Vintage Gefühl ist sehr gut.

Das Gewicht mit 4kg macht sich bemerkbar, habe noch ein 2,8 kg Gitarre, die nicht so im Rücken hängt, was angenehmer ist.

Allerdings ist die Verarbeitung nicht gut.
Ich war bei drei Gitarrenbauern und habe insgesamt nochmal 200€ gezahlt, um die Gitarre richtig einzustellen. E und A schnarren, G erzeugt einen hohen metallischen Nebenton. Bünde mussten abgeschliffen werden. Jetzt ddario Saiten drauf. E und A höher gestellt, Schnarren jetzt weg, aber Saitenlage sehr hoch, außerdem klingelt G immer noch. Muss an der Brücke oder am Sattel liegen. Intonation war auch völlig daneben.
