Evh 5150 Iconic 80W Top IV

Well packaged although my unit had a slight cosmetic defect on the wrapping (Not sure if it's leather) Two very small dents that Thomann covered in a gift voucher which is always a plus! That way I didn't need to send my amplifier back. Amplifier looks absolutely stunning in the ivory model, Nice and neat with the black mesh in the front and back! I can't fault the looks of this model it looks absolutely stunning like I say. Functionality it might take about an hour to read the manual and find out how the amplifier works (I would highly recommend you read the manual :)) You have two channels 1# is clean and 2# is dirty channel that sounds absolutely out of this world! A overdrive button for the 1st channel and a burn button for the 2nd channel that makes it sound even more jagged and a boost for both channels if you wish to enable it. Absolutely no noise whatsoever (I don't have many pedals as of now however so) My first time using a tube amplifier and the detail is just insane. Every attack on the strings you make you can hear the angle you strike them at every little detail and no loss whatsoever,

The XLR emulated speaker is also very good and clear for recording! Absolutely no noise whatsoever no needing to go back in the DAW and remove certain parts. Every thing about this amplifier is absolutely 5/5 I'm in love with it! If you have the money spare and such go for this amplifier you will not regret it :)

Trés simple d'utilisation, il y a tout ce qu'il faut sur un ampli : deux canaux (je dirai son des premiers albums sur le canal 1 et son des derniers albums sur le 2) noise gate sur canal deux, bass, medium, aigu efficaces, volume canal 1 volume canal 2, volume boost sur les deux canaux, reverbe, résonance et présence. Sur le canal 1: un son clair (il faut trouver le bon compromis entre gain et volume), et un bouton overdrive sur ce canal. Pour ma part j'utilise le volume de la guitare pour le son clean (Les Paul Slash et EVH Shark) Le canal 2 a plus de saturation et un bouton "burn" qui en rajoute avec un poil de basses en plus et moins de hauts médium. Toujours en façade , une touche "power level" 80 ou 20 watts, stand by, et power on/off. Derrière: sorties habituelles pour HP, footswicht (choix canal et boost) sortie Xlr avec émulation HP, bouton pour couper le son du baffle (bien pour les balances ou les prises studio) bouton de changement de phase pour les mises à la terre. Le son que je préfère est le canal 1 avec le drive enclenché: que du bonheur, le canal 2 pour les solos et si cela ne suffit pas: le boost. La reverbe n'est pas transcendante mais fait le job. En 20 watts, le son est plus doux qu'en 80, trés bien en appart. La finition est nickel, et n'est pas trop lourd. The Brown Sound.
