ottimi sub, qualità eccellente, versatilità super!!

Ho acquistato 2 di questi sub per affiancarli ad una coppia identica già in possesso.
Il risultato è stato incredibilmente sorprendente, ottimo anche per ampi spazi all'aperto, e soprattutto (con queste 4 unità) ho avuto la possibilità di utilizzare la configurazione cardioide per ridurre l'emissione delle basse frequenze in prossimità del retropalco dei musicisti e allo stesso tempo mantenere l'SPL massimo in fase con l'altro sub nella direzione di ascolto.
Questo tipo di configurazione presente nei sub EV 18SP, può essere ottenuta solo mediante processori di segnale aggiuntivi; questi sub includono questa modalità ed è settabile tramite il DSP (Digital Signal Processor) incorporato.
Per ciò che riguarda la resa acustica non temono rivali a confronto; io personalmente li abbino a satelliti RCF ed il risultato è eccellente.

An excellent Sub matched with the EKX15P in high profile install.

This is a well thought out product, with ideal features for install in medium sized venues, as well as its portability for bands. In a 300-500 seat new build venue it provides at least 100dB a-weighted SPL over the entire area with excellent quality and realism. The dual inputs allow simple feeds from a main mixer or local computer for varying needs of the venue with no switching or patching. In this venue the response is substantially flat between 32Hz and 15k without any EQ (Note that the building is acoustically designed and the speakers and Subs are mounted at high level). Comments from audiences of music and speech material have been very favourable as to clarity, and musicality. Several persons with hearing aids find intelligibility better than the purpose designed loop, and being able to interact with the environment properly is a great advantage.

The amplifiers have yet to get to limiting level with any real application and results are exemplary.

The only improvement would be flying points on the sub, which are currently not fitted, but mounting was not that difficult without.

this is a really good bass.very light for the output they give
good quality built and lots of power.i use to own rcf and jbl subwoofers.ev i own for first time and im really impressed with the depth and the quality of the sound

Fantastic Sub and Top‑Notch Service

I recently ordered the EV EKX‑18SP and unfortunately the first unit arrived damaged during transport. Thomann handled the situation perfectly — no hassle at all, and they arranged a replacement right away. Really impressed with their customer service.

As for the sub itself: absolutely amazing. Deep, tight, and powerful bass that you can both hear and feel. Combined with my EV EKX‑15P tops, the system really shines — the built‑in presets make it incredibly easy to match the sub and tops perfectly. Everything sounds great right out of the box. It is not a light sub in terms of weight.
The user interface is also very well designed: clear, intuitive, and easy to navigate, which makes setup quick and straightforward.
In short: a fantastic subwoofer, powerful performance, very user‑friendly and great price. The EKX‑18SP really completes the setup — highly recommended for anyone wanting strong, clean bass that you can feel as much as hear. Might as well buy a second one in the future.
