Perfect for what i need it for

Whilst this mixer is great for creating all sorts of amazing routing in Eurorack setups, i actually use this alongside some custom cables to link all my synths and effects units up to my audio interface. Now i can route any synth into any synth or effects pedal, and create some pretty complex routings in no time whatsoever. Want to use my Polybrute via my Big Sky Reverb into my interface? No problem. Want to route my Waldorf iridium through my Microcosm effects pedal, through the Big Sky Reverb, then into my SP404 for sampling and then BACK into the Iridium for further processing before routing it all to my interface and out my speakers? Easy!.

Absolutely love the possibilities this thing can provide to my studio.

A mixer and an instrument

Erica Synths Matrix Mixer is a unique device. It is a combination of the patchbay, mixer and instrument(!). Yes, you can use it is an instrument. Switching effects live without re-wiring, changing sounds and effects chain on the fly, control it with midi... Simply amazing!

Ich musste den Erica Synths Matrix Mixer leider zurückschicken, da er massive Störgeräusche verursachte – und das umso stärker, je mehr Inputs hinzugefügt wurden. Bereits bei sieben Signalen wurde es problematisch, und mit jedem weiteren Gerät wurde es schlimmer. Der dreistufige interne Volumeregler erwies sich als nutzlos: Entweder wurde das Signal so leise, dass man den Master aufdrehen musste (wodurch das Problem zurückkam), oder es blieb unverändert. Auch das Anpassen der Lautstärke einzelner Geräte brachte keine echte Verbesserung.

Besonders kritisch: Das Problem konnte an einem anderen Gerät reproduziert werden, was darauf hindeutet, dass es sich nicht um einen Einzelfall handelt. Schwer vorstellbar, wie das Ganze klingt, wenn die Matrix voll belegt ist und Signalrückkopplungen entstehen.

Bon Matrix Mixer mais un peu prise de tête

J'aime beaucoup les matrices qui me permettent de créer de grands patches, et cet outil est très pratique pour ça avec sa possibiliter de stocker des presets.
Par contre une fois que tout est branché on a du mal à s'y retrouver sans note.
Il faut faire preuve de pas mal de gymnastique mentale pour tout connecter correctement et le patching n'est pas du tout intuitif.

L'utiliser donne la sensation de "préparer" quelque chose et pas de s'amuser avec l'instrument.
C'est pourquoi je l'ai revendu malgré sa qualité de fabrication
