EMG ACB-4/6 Banjo

This item appears to be precisely what I require - a magnetic pickup WITH volume control. I currently go into a pedal board for acoustic instruments, and while my Schatten Dseign works well - feedback is always close at hand.

(UPDATE) - I tried a 4th and updated things from 1 star. Easy install, worked straight away. Haven't yet tried it in a high gain environment, but here's hoping!

The first one of these came busted, and was unusable. The second one I installed and it worked perfectly for 2 days. The sound was what you'd expect from a magnetic pickiup on a banjo - a compromise, but an acceptable one. But it too busted (sponge or somethng expanded and disfigured the pickup) making it unusable after two days. The third one I installed but it produced no sound. It seems there was a loose wire (I'm not sure why they would expose so many little wires), or a bad connector, for when I jiggled the wire/connector, the pickup would work momentarily.

There isn't much else on the market for what I require. It's a fairly easy install and is quite neat. I'm contemplating buing a fourth. If that doesn't work....

J'avais précédemment un micro piezzo intégré dans le chevalet de mon banjo guitare (système Shadow) qui était assez agressif et manquait de corps. Ce micro magnétique EMG fonctionne extrêmement bien avec une belle rondeur de son et un niveau sonore équivalent à une guitare électrique. En sortie sur mon fender The Twin ou sur mon petit Superchamp customisé, c'est juste un bonheur !!!! Le montage est relativement simple et le matériel optionnel fournit (cales anti larsen et stickers métalliques pour capter les vibrations de la peau) sont un plus indéniable.
Petit bonus, essayez d'y mettre une grosse disto (j'ai essayé avec la metal zone de chez Boss), ça fonctionne incroyablement bien aussi !!! Il y a aussi un beau petit grain avec une bonne vielle tubescreamer Ibanez.
Essayé seulement en répétition (avec contrebasse, batterie et section cuivre). Mais je ne me fais aucun soucis pour la scène.
Je précise que mon banjo guitare est du bas de gamme (marque Carson). J'ai malgré tout l'habitude de jouer sur de très bons instruments (guitare acoustique de luthier et guitare électrique Vigier Arpège)
