As title say. So one can maybe take a little lighter set to compensate for added stiffness. They really do last a ton more than normal ones in a controlled humidity ambient
Little thing about 7 string packs:
is that normal package of 6 + adding a single 7 th string is cheaper than buying a 7 string set right away , and you can even customize but that's a commercial thing that every shop could unwillingly run into ( i discovered late after ordering many packs..) .
