Nice sounding but way too rough!

After years playinig elixir strings I wanted to test new long lasting strings and I landed on DR.
With big disappointment they're as rough as 60 grit sandpaper and this is the first time in 20+ years of professional activity that I had to replace a set of new strings because of how they feel.
I've tested extremly cheap strings and yet they didn't feel as rough as this set.
I'm very disappointed because they're also pricey.
For now I'll keep them in a drawer just in case I'll get robotic hands in the future.
On a side note, they sound nice, a little brighter than Elixir.
