As probably any other performer, what I expect from electric guitar strings is, first and foremost, that they keep a steady tension and that they don't break during a bending or an energetic strumming. In this sense, D'Addario strings have never deserted me. Sometimes solidity and durability go to the detriment of sound quality. Nonetheless, the EXL110 strings sound particularly brilliant and edgy on my Telecaster, especially on clean and crunch tones. Another pro is the packaging, which is designed to prevent oxidation on each single string set (if you are not one of those guys who enjoy changing their guitar strings every morning after coffee, this might give you a significant advantage). Finally, price-wise they are a winning horse as compared to similar products.
