Charvel LTD SC 1 Henrik Danhage Relic

Prima le cose che mi piacciono:
- configurazione HS
- Duncan JB al ponte
- paletta reverse
- "colore" olympic white
- radius 12-16
- tasti jumbo

Le piccole cose che non mi piacciono, ma risolvibili o comunque non critiche
- relic troppo estremo. se già ci deve essere il relic, preferisco quello leggero tipo EVH
- Potenziometro push-push e la sua posizione. Ho subito cambiato il battipenna, aggiungendo il selettore Strat blade a 3 posizioni e spostando il potenziometro del volume più vicino alla classica posizione Stratocaster. Inoltre, il volume è push pull per slittare il JB.
- L'Area 67 non è proprio il pickup più adatto per completare il JB al ponte. L'area 67 è un pickup Strat stile vintage, sarebbe stato meglio un single coil con più Mid e più uscita.

Adesso invece la cosa grave:
C'erano dei problemi con i tasti nel range 7-10 e17-20 tasto. Ho dovuto farla sistemare dal liutaio professionista. E' una spesa aggiuntiva.
Inoltre sembra che le meccaniche non tengano bene l'accordatura e dovrò sostituirle.

A questo prezzo mi aspettavo una qualità migliore per questa chitarra.
Ho anche un'altra chitarra simile la EVH relic pagata nuova circa 500 euro in meno e non ha alcun difetto di tasti o lavorazione. Entrambe sono probabilmente prodotte nella stessa fabbrica della Fender Mexico

This is a guitar that looks bold, aggressive, and full of character.
Neck feels fast, smooth, and instantly broken-in and pickups have ”growl” sound.
It offer unique, practical features (like the push/push volume control)
It’s not for everyone (the relic look and minimalist controls are very specific), but if it clicks with you — it’s hard to beat.
After all it is Henrik approved, thats enough for me.

The instrument arrived after a month of waiting. After opening the bag, I found out that the guitar is on a completely unplayable state. The saddle was way too high (several millimeters), so the strings on the first frets are in a completely unplayable condition. The intonation is totally wrong (because of that) and playing is almost impossible. You don't get any idea about the guitar. I took the guitar to a local guitar repairer, with whom we wondered how foolishly the assembly line has worked. I left the guitar to the local repair shop to be repaired at my own expense.

I have now completely lost all confidence in the operation of both Thomann and Charvel/Fender. This is already the second defective instrument (sold as new) that arrives from the factory in Mexico via Thomann to me. The first was a Fender bass of the same price range. Repairing its warped neck under warranty at Thomann took an inordinately long time and eventually led to the arrival of a new bass.

I absolutely cannot recommend buying a guitar through Thomann. It is shamefully that the instrument is sent to the customer completely untested in the factory package. Fortunately, this kind of activity is not practiced in Finnish local guitar stores. You get the instrument from them adjusted and ready to play. Now a similar situation was reached only through an instrument repairer. It's sad that these kind of rare guitar models don't find their ways to the local shops anymore.

I hope I can enjoy this guitar after the repair.

Wie immer von thomann schnelle Lieferung!! Gitarre ausgepackt, angeschlossen und dann ging der Spaß so richtig los. Riesiger Saitenabstand zum Griffbrett, FloydRose nicht parallel zum Gitarrenkörper eingestellt, die Schrauben der Zugfedern vom Floyd Rose völlig verbogen und und und... Nach ca. einer Stunde dann alles so weit halbwegs behoben, wobei sich eine Zufriedenheit bei mir einfach nicht einstellen wollte. Ich spiele seit mehr als 50 Jahren Gitarre und habe da so alles, was 6 Saiten hat, bisher ausprobiert. Bis auf eine Gibson Les Paul Custom, wo ich nichts mehr nachstellen oder justieren mußte, waren Fein- und Grobarbeiten nach der Lieferung eigentlich immer an der Tagesordnung. Denke, das geht auch in Ordnung, da die Geschmäcker und Spielweisen der Gitarristen ja durchaus unterschiedlich sind und die Hardware daher nach ihren Bedürfnissen eingestellt werden muss. Bei der Charvel habe ich mich allerdings sehr schwer getan. Trotz ausreichender Erfahrung und Routine ist es mir nicht gelungen, das Instrument auch nur halbwegs zum Klingen zu bringen. Irgendwo schnarrten die tiefen Saiten immer, es sei denn, die Saitenlage wurde so richtig hochgeschraubt. Aber wer will das schon!? Keine Ahnung, ob ich da vielleicht ein Montagsgerät erwischt habe, jedenfalls ist mir die Freude an dem Instrument so richtig verdorben worden, wobei mir die Optik und Handhabung durchaus gefiel. Ich will um Gotteswillen die Gitarre hiermit nicht schlecht reden, andere hatten ja, wie aus den Textbewertungen zu ersehen, mehr Glück. Dennoch denke ich, dass man bei einer Preislage über 1.500,00 Euro einfach mehr auf die Endkontrolle vor Auslieferung achten sollte. Schade aber die Gitarre ging dann doch wieder zurück.
