I am a BadCat fan since I saw Steven Wilson playing a Sampson-era HotCat 30 live with Porcupine Tree. Gorgeous clean and crushing rock tones, delivering menacing riffs in a sonic spectrum I personally haven't heard elsewhere. The Ocelot has 4 sounds: Vox-like clean, a Vox-like overdrive, a rock sound on par with bluesbreaker - like Marshall and a heavy alternative rock/metal sound that can be very tight if well setup. The 3-band EQ is sensitive and super effective. It has built-in Torpedo remote, the factory IR's are created using BadCat cabinets - with a touch too much reverb, but that can be changed to taste. Super versatile and practical, sounds amazing! Made in China but no build quality issues so far.

Habe den Amp ausprobiert. Er sieht toll aus, Clean Kanal finde ich super gut. Der Lead Kanal ist eher nicht mein Geschmack. Aber das ist natürlich immer Ansichtssache. Was mir aber gar nicht gefallen hat ist die Umschaltung des 1Watt Modus.. da kracht es ordentlich im Lautsprecher auch wenn man alles runter dreht. Auch bei Umschaltung high/low sind ab und zu Schaltgeräusche (nicht so extrem wie beim Leistungsumschalter) zu hören was den Amp für mich nicht sehr hochwertig erscheinen lässt. Und für einen Amp in der Klasse sollte das meines Erachtens nicht sein. Engl und Co haben das so nicht. Vielleicht auch ein Sonderfall. Amp ging zurück. Danke Thomann für diese Möglichkeit 👍
