Yamaha PX8

I have a pair of Barefaced Big Baby 2 speaker cabinets. They are designed as lightweight FRFR bass cabinets but are also available with top hat fittings (I retrofitted mine) because they also work superbly well as passive PA speakers. They are 8 ohm cabs that handle 800 watts RMS each, so they are well matched for the PX8. The PX8 is really rock solid. It's very well built and easy to use. It has a tight, punchy and articulate sound with these cabs and together they sound like big studio monitors. They go very loud with crystal clear sound and the PX8 has loads of headroom, most of the time everything is plenty loud enough with the amp rolled back -12dB on the attenuators. I only ever really pushed it at an outdoor gig with my band but, again it powered the cabs with no issues. They sound like a big loud pair of studio monitors and they go deep enough for my rock band not to need any subs (I would add subs if I needed to do EDM or something like that). I've also used this system to do some acoustic and jazz gigs where I've just been doing sound. I've had to mic up a grand piano for this and the PX8 handles the bass end of this like a huge hi-fi amp and it doesn't break sweat. Very impressed.

Die Amp hat viele verschiedene Features und ist einfach zu Bedienen Allerdings finde ich das man sich ab und zu in den Menus verläuft, das ist nicht weiter schlimm aber am Anfang habe ich doch die ein oder andere Einstellung doppelt gemacht.
Für mich ist diese Amp einfach nur die Perfekte Lösung da man für den Preis eine riesige Menge an Features Bekommt.

Wir verwenden diese Endstufe in Kombination mit zwei dB Arena SW 18 Subs. Wir sind von einer 8 Jahre alten TAmp TA-2400 auf diese Endstufe umgestiegen was einen wirklich beeindruckenden Unterschied machte. Aus einem Frequenzbrei wurden präzise Basedrumschläge und ein satter Bass. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist sehr überzeugend, rein äußerliche ist an dem Gerät nichts auszusetzen. Die Menüführung ist auch sehr überzeugend, wobei die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten der eingebauten Frequenzweiche sehr eingeschränkt sind was aber im Betrieb mit einer externen Frequenzweiche nicht weiter auffällt.
Die Erwartungen waren zumindest von einer analogen billig Endstufe kommend und im Betrieb als reine Endstufe erfüllt.
