I was looking for a stand that has the smallest dimensions when folded up, so that it fits in my instrument bag which has limited space. The Wittner 961d was the smallest one I could find, and I'm using it on a regular basis for a while now. For its compact dimensions, it is pretty stable. Fully extended it is high enough to be able to play standing. The only small quality issue I encountered is that the black paint(?) is not quite as robust as on similar stands from other brands.

Very good for the price

A bit finicky to unfold, but once that's out of the way, its pretty stable and supports a book's weight without problem. Tripod is stable, and easy to adjust. For indoor use, its perfect. (maybe for outdoor use too, haven't tried it)
Kudos to thomann and manufacturer:
Plastic Free Packaging!! It came in all paper/cardboard wrappings and shipping box. No wasted plastics anywhere.

Genau so einen Notenständer habe ich gesucht. Ein zweiter musste für die Orchesterproben her und ich scheute mich vor den "Plastik-Gewinde-Schrauben" der zahlreichen anderen Notenständer. Die Metallgewinde Flügelschrauben halten bereits bei meinem alten, silbernen Notenständer seit 30 Jahren. Deswegen entschied ich mich für dieses Modell. Verarbeitung top, Stabilität ist ausreichend gegeben (habe ihn allerdings wegen der Coronabedingten ausfallenden Proben noch nicht mit Volllast getestet), Handling ist natürlich ein bisschen Übungssache, man muss viel klappen und drehen, aber deswegen wird er auch die nächsten sehr vielen Jahre überstehen. Ja klar, er ist ein bisschen schwerer und größer im zusammengebauten Zustand, aber als Nicht Profi kann ich diesen auch bei Bedarf hin und her tragen. In ein altes Kuchentuch gewickelt greift man auch nicht so schnell zwischen die Streben und verletzt sich. Wer nur einmal investieren möchte ist mit diesem Notenständer sehr gut beraten. Und auch viel schöner in dem schwarz wie die damaligen silbernfarbenen . Top Produkt!
