Cyclop ist schon länger verfügbar (seit 2012?), und scheint recht stark zu polarisieren. Vielleicht wegen der Oberfläche, die ich mag, die aber auch ein bißchen wie Spielzeug wirken könnte. Vielleicht wegen der Dubstep-Ausrichtung im Marketing von Sugar Bytes.
Die Bässe, die Cyclop erzeugt, sind aber alles andere als Spielzeug. In manchen Signalpfaden kann man zwei unterschiedliche Verzerrungsstufen gleichzeitig verwenden. Dadurch ergeben sich eher dreckige und (mit dem Wobble-Knopf) sich ständig ändernde Bässe.
Flächen oder Lead-Sounds kann man mit etwas Mühe auch herausholen, die werden aber nie eine besonders weiche Qualität haben.
Die CPU-Last hat mich sehr positiv überrascht und liegt denke ich im Bereich von Synth1 und weit unter Kairatune.
Ich hatte bis jetzt definitiv meinen Spaß mit Cyclop.
