Do-wah-do-wah-do-wah-do-wah - wer kennt sie nicht, die berühmte Plunger-Passage in Duke Ellingtons Jazz-Stück "It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing". Für solcherlei Klangeffekte ist dieses Gerät prädestiniert. Die Handhabung ist einfach und mit etwas Übung lassen sich schon nach kurzer Zeit gute Ergebnisse erzielen.

Dieser Plunger gehört zur Grundausstattung eines jeden Bläsers, der etwas auf sich hält. Insbesondere aus dem Bereich Jazz / Swing / moderne Tanzmusik ist er nicht wegzudenken. Wer experimentierfreudig ist, kann das Gerät auch mit den verschiedensten Dämpfern kombinieren. So lassen sich, abseits des Üblichen, neue, interessante Klangeffekte erzielen.
