Impressive and fun but with improvable qualities
The instrument is advertised as "Tahitian Coral" with an orange pastel finish however what I unboxed was clearly a pink, a '80s toy-like pink Barbie style with minor marks of a careless paint work. The build quality is good and solid, the neck is obviously less cared than a Classic Vibe series however it is absolutely perfect and without sharp frets, with a velvet-like satin finish, it's really pleasant to move your hand around it. The inner electric is really basic and with some little hum and ground noises when plugged to the amp but the pickup (a single coil stratocaster style) is impressive and really expensive simply mixing the sound with the tone knob. In conclusion, the Bronco Bass is a reliable instrument both for beginners and experienced players that want a Fender style short scale bass without breaking a bank, with the possibility of personal customization (just for experts). My only concern is the colour finish: the online and official pictures are really misleading, maybe Fender/Squier should offer better options with images as real as possible.
