Viel Bass für wenig Geld

Als zufriedener Besitzer eines Squier 40th P Bass LPB kaufte ich im August 2025 den Squier CV 60s J Bass LRL TSPG TCO als "Zweitbass". Beim Jazz Bass hatte es nicht zuletzt an der "Mister Crabs" Lackierung gelegen, weswegen ich mich für diesen und keinen anderen aus der CV Serie entschieden hatte. Aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache.

Das Bass ist sauber verarbeitet, klingt prima (die Soundmöglichkeiten sind durch die zwei Pick Ups im Vergleich zum Precision natürlich noch vielfältiger) und aus soliden Bauteilen gefertigt. Die Mechaniken laufen sauber, der Bass verstimmt sich auch nach langem intensivem Spielen kaum. Man bekommt für ca 500,- € einen soliden Bass, ich würde sagen, ein Brot-und-Butter-Instrument, dessen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis unschlagbar ist. Der Qualitätsunterschied ist m.A.n. zu günstigeren Modellen (z.B. Affinity Serie, Harley Benton) im Gegensatz zum Mehrgeld gewaltig, nach oben zu den teuereren Modellen (wie z.B. den Original Fender Bässen) deutlich geringer, um nicht zu sagen kaum vorhanden.

Empfehlenswert für alle, die viel Bass für wenig Geld haben, aber auf Qualität nicht verzichten wollen.

Another good product from Squier

After owning and using a Squier Affinity PJ as my main bass for about 2 years, I decided to buy this, mainly because I wanted a J-bass and something that was a bit more fancy looking.
Out of the box, all that was needed was a simple setup (tuning, truss rod, string & pickup height adjustments) and I was good to go. I also swapped out the stock pickups and electronics quite quickly for some higher end parts, as it's pretty much obligatory with lower end instruments like this one. Last change I did was replacing the stock round-wound strings with a set of flats.
Only issues that I've encountered was a slightly warped pickguard (plenty of solutions for this exists on the internet) and that the cavity for the potentiometers was to small for CTS sized pots (made it slightly bigger by using a wood carving file).
So as the title says, this is another good product from Squier and if you want to buy a decent J-bass, I would highly recommend this one.
