Comfortable and has very particular tone

It's designed to deliver that "smoky" or "airy" jazz ballad tone, and it totally does. My usual mouthpiece is a Bach 1C, and to me the comfort is very similar. I don't need any time to adjust to it after playing with my regular one.
Responds pretty good in all registers, flexibility seems normal, it doesn't require more or less air. Less air you use, the more "airy" is the tone.

Mundstück für spezielle Sounds

Ich spiele auf meinem Flügelhorn ein Yamaha 14F4-GP. Den speziellen Sound mit viel Nebenluft bekomme ich darauf nicht hin.

Das von R.Baldauf entwickelte Mundstück habe ich in seinem Workshop zunächst als Trompetenmundstück gespielt und hatte Probleme, den "Rauschesound" hinzubekommen.

Ganz anders mit dem Flügelhorn.
Perfekte Ansprache in den unteren Lagen. Sobald der Luftstrom sich deutlich beschleunigt, ist der Effekt (natürlich) weg.
Aber für den smooth sound von Jazzklassikern ist es hervorragend geeignet.

In hohen Lagen läßt es sich auch gut spielen, das 14F4 ist da aber sicher überlegen.

Bin froh, mir das Mundstück als Ergänzung für spezielle Jazzliteratur gekauft zu haben

Habe erst wenig praktische/live Erfahrung mit dem neuen Mundstück. Beim Proben/zu Hause bin ich begeistert von dem fluffigen Sound, der allerdings bei größeren Lautstärken schnell verschwindet. Das ist also wirklich für sanfte Balladen, oder backings. Aber für solche Jazznummern find ich's total cool.
Ansprache empfinde ich als easy, läßt sich gut zentrieren. Ich bin überrascht daß kein größerer negativer Einfluß auf die Spielweise entsteht, aber wie gesagt noch wenig Erfahrung.
