Even if the product is a bit more on the expensive side, when you want to do professional recordings you need to have a professional power supply with a strong and reliable connection.

Von der Größe her ideal. Klemmt Bombenfest. So fest, das beim Wechsel irgendwann der Kunststoff nachgeben könnte. Also wird man sich einen Wechsel zurück zum Batteriefach (manchmal nötig) reiflich überlegen. Trotz einem Übermaß an Plastik Alternativlos. Und sehr teuer. Und leider, leider nicht Kurzschlußfest. Beim anschließen wurde leider der D-Tap-Stecker nicht Polgerecht an die Akkubuchse gehalten und das Platinchen vom MX-Hirose knallte kurz.
Also wirklich sehr teuer.
Meine Hoffnung, vielleicht beim zerlegen so etwas wie eine Sicherung zu finden, wurden enttäuscht. Man findet Elkos und SMD Bauteile.
Wenn alles fehlerfrei läuft, ist es ein praktisches Teil und erleichtert die Arbeit. Aber gemessen an der sonst so teuren Qualität von Sound Devices ist das eine absolute Schwachstelle.

Overpriced low quality

I've purchased this sled just because I wanted to prolong life of my old and trusty MixPre-6 mk I which has its USB-C slot damaged beyond repair. I used USB-C mostly for powersupply. I thought to myself: maybe MX-Hirose is overpriced but it may have the same quality as other Sound Devices equipment and accessories. I was wrong. The plastic smell bad (even tho I use MX-Hirose for 3 months daily now). It is hard to place adapter into powering slot which I have to do a lot to get into the SD card. Overall look and comfort of use is poor. MX-Hirose looks more like a cheap know-off which I would buy if there was one; it wouldn't be any worse.

Works well but hard to insert and take out

I have been using it for some time now and it works great but is a real pain to take out and reinsert. Sometimes the pins get bent from manipulation and it stops working, so i bend them back by hand and it comes back on. Wish it were easier
