high quality thin cable

used this to make a new cable for my AKG headphone with mini-XLR connectors, and this cable fits in the connector well with it slim thickness, have used other cables before but they were too bulky for the tiny connector. Sound quality is good, on par if not better than other Sommer cable and huge improvement vs the original AKG cable

Le diamètre réduit est parfait pour utiliser avec un connecteur Binder 711 M9.
Facile à souder, les brins sont solides et les plastiques ne fondent pas instantanément.
Par contre, le cable conserve une certaine rigidité malgré le fait qu'il soit assez souple. C'est sans doute dû au fait qu'il soit très léger.
Autrement dit, pour des longueurs supérieures à 1 mètre, il devient peu pratique et ne se déroule pas sans aide pour le guider.
Parfait pour du patch, un peu moins pour de l'enregistrement mobile où il va être déplacé / rangé / déployé très souvent.

Für den Live Einsatz sowie bei CD-Produktionen im Klassik-Bereich hervorragend unauffälliges Mikrofon Kabel. Das Handling bedarf dabei ein wenig Expertise um ein verdrillen zu vermeiden. Bislang keine Einstreuungen gehabt; dies zusammen mit XLR-EMC Steckern (Neutrik) und Schoeps Colette CMC 1 und 6 sowie CCM. Für mich die beste Wahl bislang für Situationen, wo Unauffälligkeit und Gewicht-Sparen absolute Priorität hat, und man keine Kompromisse in der Signalqualität eingehen möchte. Für diesen Winzling ist dieses Kabel doch noch erstaunlich robust (natürlich mit Bedacht zu verlegen).

Ich finde das CICADA4 Kabel von Sommer super um Quad-Lösungen zu Löten. Es ist schön neutral und lässt sich toll verarbeiten, ist trotz vier Adern nicht all zu dick im Querschnitt. Das einzige Manko ist, dass es nicht immer Verfügbar ist, aber dafür kann ja das Kabel nichts ;)
