Sennheiser RS 175

ottime cuffie sia per ascoltare musica che per guardare film ,per quanto riguarda le modalità di ascolto sono disponibili diverse impostazioni bass e sorround quest ultimo a mio avviso da utilizzare in config. LOW . l'uscita toslink garantisce una buona qualità e sopratutto 0 ronzii di fondo. I bassi nelle canzoni sono davvero performanti . per quanto riguarda la comodità non sono proprio al top per via dei padiglioni in pelle che si garatiscono una buona insonorizzazione senza dispersione audio, ma nelle stagioni calde faranno sudare, infatti ho acquistato anche un paio di earpads di ricambio in velluto delle rs 185 che sono compatibili con queste 175 , le cuffie così risultano più comode ma ovviamente con lo svantaggio di disperdere maggiormente il suono sopratutto i bassi , ovviamente il suono è sempre ottimo a mio avviso. quindi non posso che consigliarvele se siete amanti dei film e volete lasciarvi coinvolgere a pieno nella visione.

Ho acquistato le RS 175 per non avere l'ingombro del cavo, sono di ottima fattura e solidità, ma le ritengo più adatte per utilizzo di musica o TV piuttosto che per mix-editing su DAW. Personalmente cercavo cuffie per mix pertanto non fanno al caso mio ma, la qualità del prodotto è indiscutibile.
Un prodotto senz'altro eccellente a seconda dell'utilizzo prestabilito, come descritto poco sopra.

I love these headphones.
I've been using them for years as my main headphones for everything: music listening, music production, movie watching, gaming, multimedia...
These are simply the best wireless closed back headphones you can buy:

- Really excellent sound and good isolation. (a little V shaped signature but perfectly fine for production as is.)
- Sonarworks SoundID compatible for accurate calibration.
- Powerful tight sub bass that doesn't muddy the sound at all and feels like a subwoofer.
- They can sound real loud and have integrated manual volume control.
- No latency at all.
- Digital input for accurate monitoring.
- Very comfortable for long hours of use (gentle pressure, don't get hot).
- Uses standard AAA rechargeable batteries, so the day the batteries will turn bad (because they all do) you can easily change them without issues.
- Charging dock with dual inputs: analog and digital.

As always, nothing is perfect, so they do have some drawbacks:

- They're bulky.
- Some people find them a little weighty. (I don't mind at all, personally).
- They don't automatically turn on when you remove them from the base: you have to turn them on by pressing a button for several seconds, which isn't a big deal but still cumbersome compared to others.
- The leatherette earpads break and peel rather quickly. I replaced them with unbranded $50 true leather earpads from ebay: highly recommended if you don't want them to peel again.
- The analog input has an automatic gain matching that can't be disabled or manually adjusted: the audio gain will automatically adjust down if the signal goes too high in order to prevent saturation, but it will not go up again until you turn them off. So it's not continually turning the volume up and down like a compressor, it's just adjusting the gain down to prevent saturation, but I would have preferred that they had a manual gain knob in the base to accurately adjust it once and for all. The digital input doesn't have this automatic gain function and will always have a constant gain level.
- The "surround" mode is a gimmick that makes dialog sound distant in movies. (but the "bass" mode is excellent).

Overall, I really love these headphones and use them for everything.
I even got the guys at Sonarworks SoundID to include them in their list of supported headphones (even though they do not recommend them for mixing. Maybe because of the automatic gain adjustment on the analog input. No issues with the digital input though.).

They sound really great and everybody that try them love them.
But of course, these are closed back headphones and very much so: with great isolation and bass but weak "airiness" and "openness" compared to open backs.
But if you like closed backs, pristine sound and great tight sub bass that doesn't muddy the mix, then you will love them.

Excellent earphones that we use to listen to the television as our hearing isn't as good as it was. Wireless, so no cables. Excellent sound with controls to change volumne and tone on the right hand earpiece, along with the on/off control. The only downside for me is the fact that they are a bit comberson and slightly uncomfortable over the ear and can feel a bit heavy until you get them in the right place. 0nce you get used to them then you forget you have them on. These earphone seems to be the only model on the market that will accept two headphones on the one transmitter, which is the main reason we chose this model, and would high recommend them for home use.
