Bought this to go on a handpan ( Harmonic Art HuRing ).
Fits very nicely on the top, just the right size. Sounded
just a tiny, tiny bit harsh/ loud for my current situation at first.
Modified it with a rubber band around the body, split
60:40. Now it gives the benefit of slightly different sounds and is a
little quieter.
With the magnets it's easy to put in place & take off again as required. Hasn't left any marks on the handpan surface so far.
Seems well made, should hopefully last a tour even if the rubber
band doesn't. For my current situation it's perfect.

Ich hatte mir das Teil mal mitgenommen, um es, wie beschrieben, oben auf der Sitzfläche der Cajon (Vorderkante) festzumachen. The Chick hat bei mir aber ziemlich schnell eine andere Funktion bekommen, nämlich als Shaker (klingt super) und als HiHat-Ersatz. Wenn man eine Fußmaschine für die Base der Cajon nutzt, dann einfach in die rechte Hand The Chick legen und ihn auf dem Oberschenkel wie eine HiHat spielen - echt optimal. Wenn man die Cajon nur mit den Händen spielt, dann macht es natürlich Sinn, The Chick auf der Cajon (wie oben beschrieben) anzubringen - damit lassen sich auch schöne Zusatz-Effekte erzeugen. Also wirklich ein sehr vielseitiges Tool, das ich immer mit dabei haben werde... Übrigens habe ich The Chick auch mal am DrumSet versucht anzuwenden und siehe da, mit den Magneten kann man The Chick auf einem Tom (bei mir 10er) am Rand befestigen und dann schaut selber mal, was man damit so alles machen kann - natürlich nichts für brachiale drummer...
