If you're in the market for a well-built precision bass, this might be well worth considering.

Firstly, it has been aged to perfection, in a really organic fashion, almost like it's been under decades of wear, so the sound is resonant and full, even when it isn't plugged in.

Sound wise, it's not exactly a p bass sound, but you can get there quite simply by adjusting your playing style, putting on some flats and rolling off volume and tone a little bit. The sound is definitely more hi-fi than a Fender precision bass, and the neck and radius is also definitely it's own thing. However, it's lighter, is made to very high standards and is probably the most versatile bass in my modest collection. Would recommend this as a one and done or a daily driver with all the features of a custom shop (besides the hard case and Fender brand) but for less than an American Professional/Vintage.

Definitely gonna pick me another.

My only gripe is that Sandberg doesn't reveal too much about their guitars, the construction method or anything under the hood, and I wish they would take more time to do that for a discerning customer.

Ayant toujours été attiré par cette marque européenne aux caractéristiques plutôt moderne, j'ai décidé de sauter le pas. N'étant pas particulièrement fan des basses actives (trop de boutons, trop de chipotage pour trouver un son qui au final reste le son qu'on veut) je suis tombé amoureux de ce modèle passif avec un micro Precision. La finition est incroyable, rien ne dépasse. Le reliquage est quand à lui somptueux, pas trop exagéré et bien maîtrisé. La basse est magnifiquement équilibrée et le confort de jeu est inégalable.

En terme de sonorité, on s'approche fort d'un son precision mais bien plus moderne. Les deux potards (Volume et Tonalité) son très réactifs et aussi surprenant soit elle, cette basse est extrêmement polyvalente (je joue quand même pas mal de style et la basse s'adapte sans soucis). La frette 0 n'est pas pour me déplaire ! Le manche est quand à lui très fin et ultra plat (me rappelle étrangement les manches de la série Aerodyne de chez Fender) mais avec une meilleure finition !

Les deux seules choses que je peux reprocher ce sont les cordes d'usine qui ne sont pas à mon goût et que la basse ne soit pas livrée en flycase (à ce prix là, ça aurait été quand même pas mal). La housse est cependant ultra robuste et de bonne facture.

En conclusion, très content de cet achat, elle fait ce que je lui demande avec ce petit plus d'être magnifique ! Je me suis surpris de la rapidité de prise en main, et du confort rapidement trouvé sur cette basse. Foncez.
