A decent keyboard

Pros:
- Nice feeling keybed
- Nice and compact design
- Fits well in studio table or home studio set up
- Feels durable

Cons:
- Keybed is almost too heavy, definitely on a heavy side
- Confusing user manual that does not explain anything
- Pads are not really useful as pads (not sensitive, too hard)
- No real modulation wheel (pitch/mod stick is fine though)
- Apart from 8 knobs and a pitch/mod stick, no useful functionality

Top Class MIDI Controller

We are huge fans of Roland and we do own the Roland Fantom G6, FA08 and we are also huge fans of the Roland Cloud Ultimate Edition.
When my son wanted to have his studio in the UK, we did a lot of research to choose the most advanced 88 Key, Hammer Action and a Great Feel MIDI Controller and we ordered the Roland A88-MKII. The board feels solid and gives a great feel and playability. Implementation of MIDI 2.0 is a huge step forward!!!

Un clavier pour vrai pianiste

J'utilise ce clavier avec deux objectifs :
1- contrôler mon DAW et permettre d'utiliser toute la richesse des nombreux instruments fournis entre autres par Omnisphere et Keyscape. Très utile pour permettre l'improvisation ou la création musicale avec de très bons sons.
2- réaliser mes exercices et mon étude au piano en l'absence d'un piano classique.
Ce clavier nécessite un ordinateur. Il faut donc en tenir compte pour des prestations à l'extérieur de chez soi.
La grande force du clavier, c'est son mécanisme équivalent à celui d'un piano classique. D'origine, il est réglé sur une vélocité de niveau 3. Pour mes exercices, je le règle sur 4 et je me muscle les doigts et favorise leur indépendance. Le toucher est agréable.
Après plusieurs semaines d'usage et de pratique assidue des exercices Hanon (+/- 01.30 hrs), force est de constater que ce je croyais être une certaine lenteur dans la remonte des touches du clavier au delà d'un battement de 120 n'était dû qu'à ma faiblesse dans mes doigts. Je viens de passer un palier et je constate que le clavier et les touches remontent tel un piano classique quand j'articule correctement. Plus je m'en sers et plus je l'aime. C'est mon partenaire d'étude du piano rêvé.

Como todos los instrumentos, son "instrumentos" para realizar nuestra música. Por lo tanto éste Roland A-88 es perfecto para lo que yo necesito. Como siempre, Thomann excelente en todo lo referente al envío y la gestión.
