RME AO4S/192 AIO Expansion Board

La scheda di espansione Rme AO4S/192 è un eccellente complemento alle schede HDSP 9632 (PCI) e HDSPe AiO (PCIe). Questa scheda occupa un solo slot nel vostro case ed offre ben 4 Out Bilanciati/Sbilanciati che ampliano quelle già presenti nelle vostre schede HDSP o HDSPe.
Nel mio caso la AO4S/192 espande le uscite della mia HDSP 9632 (PCI) e utilizzo i 4 out per pilotare gli ingessi bilanciati del mio ampli cuffie Violectric HPA V100 e i miei 2 monitor EVE SC-307 (attraverso un SPL Volume 2). La qualità dei convertitori a bordo della AO4S/192 è elevatissima ed utilizza 1 Dac Burr Brown PCM 4104 (lo stesso utilizzato dall UFX....), questo permette di avere una reale riproduzione "Monitor" degna di una scheda per uso professionale da studio. Un accortezza... ricordate di spuntare il Flag nel tip box del TotalMix relativo all'uso di un cavo Breakout XLR. E' necessario che lo facciate solo se usate un connessione bilanciata...

RME stopped making these analog output expansion boards. They don't work with the latest RME HDSPe AIO pro cards, only the older HDSPe AIO and HDSP 9652. It is a smart forward-facing move, but it reduces the functionality if you wanted to use your system as a multitrack recording/tracking system to replace an analog one in an otherwise analog studio setup.

Right now the older HDSP and HDSPe cards that these work with still outperform external port interfaces, and now they available for a fraction of their original high price tag. Of course the newest RME stuff has even lower latencies, but it's RME so it also costs their a high premium for new current hardware.

RIght now is this window where the older gen RME hardware, which is still near the top, is available for a fraction of its original cost. Up to three cards can work on one system, and all can have one additional input and output expansion board apiece.
