A great option for be bop players

There's many positive reviews on Vintage A heads. This is another one. I know this head from usage on toms but recently I had opportunity to put it on 18" vintage Ludwig bass drum. It works very well giving that boomy classic jazz bass drum sound. It has to seat and be played on the drum for couple of days to give its full potential. I do not understand why Remo does not want to offer this head in 20" and 22" sizes. Many drummers is looking for vintage characteristic in their bass drum sound definition. Vintage A drum head serves it very well. Warm, mellow sound worth to try if you have 18" bass around.

Ich habe dieses Fell auf meiner Ludwig Black Beauty 14*6,5" aufgezogen und war damit von Anfang an nicht wirklich zufrieden. Die Snare wirkte irgendwie abgewürgt- obwohl ich nur minimal abgedämpft habe - und die Teppichansprache war deutlich reduziert. Ich habe das Fell dann auf eine Pearl Export Snare aufgezogen und diese klingt damit ganz gut. Aber dies alles ist sehr subjektiv. Die Qualität des Fells ist remo-typisch.

le son est celui que je cherche aucun soucis, c'est parfait, en revanche quand à la qualité c'est mauvais même en tapant doucement lors de l'accordage les traces de baguettes apparaissent au bout de 5 minutes d'essais, et pour finir une fois accordées avec des traces de nombreuses traces de baguettes au bout de 15 minutes, ça craint, je vais m'orienter vers Evans à l'avenir. bye bye Remo.
