Rock riff machine, lacking in more quiet styles
I tested this pickup through several guitars: an Epiphone Ultra II with chambered body, two Gibson Les Pauls, a PRS Custom 22, a knockoff PRS copy with maple neck, ebony fretboard and 24 frets, a sterling JP guitar.
This pickup is rock and raunchy. You can't get lost in a mix with this tone monster. Bass are tight because the fundamental frequencies are shifted to the high-mids.
This pickup requires a very bass-heavy guitar such as mahogany singlecuts. Mids are pretty scooped and handles low tunings very well. However, cleans are not the best thing in the world, and rolling down the volume only gives a spanky clean, similar to the telecaster bridge pickup, but with less picking dynamics.
Take care when installing this, as the pickup is really high in height, and it won't fit in smaller-body pickup routes (I had problem with superstrats).

Unica parola: potenza
Se avete bisogno di dare potenza alla vostra chitarra, questi hubucker sono la risposta.
Ho installato questi humbucker in una PRS SE 245, sostituendo quindi gli HB originali. La potenza si è rilevata subito maggiore.
L'elettronica è ottima e la compatibilità si è rivelata subito perfetta con la chitarra.
Se dovete suonare Alter Bridge o musica metal questi pickup sono la risposta.
Contro invece hanno la difficile gestione dei suoni puliti: bisogna agire con il volume e non sempre la resa è ottimale.
In ogni caso: consigliati!!!

Una bomba!!
Acquistato per necessità di fare un upgrade ai pickup presenti di serie sulle chitarre PRS Tremonti SE.
PRO:
- Suono ricco di armoniche, grande potenza in uscita per distorsioni possenti ma sempre definite.
CONTRO:
- Nessuno; se vogliamo proprio trovare un difetto, la grande potenza in uscita renderà un po' più laborioso il bilanciamento con il pickup al manico.
