When I bought the violin, I bought also this rosin, what I didn't know is that with the violin also came a rosin.

At first I thought that I wasted a bit of money buying a second rosin, but I really had a lot of problems with the rosin that came with the violin. I was unable to "brush" (don't know word in english) the bow with the rosin.

So I just tried with this rosin and it was perfect, I immediatly threw to the bin the rosin that came with the violin, and I'm only using this one.

One day it fell to the floor and broke in several pieces, I gave it a little heat with the microwave and put them together again and it is still useful.

A great rosin, tested with its respective pirastro strings. No background hiss, suitable for classic music. less harsh and less sticky than a black rosin.

It's sound is very smooth (and smells great by the way)

However you should clean you strings regularly when using this rosin, since it is really soft and sticky that could lead to much residue and buildup on the strings that could affect your sound in the long term

Very Good Rosin

First off, I'm not a professional player, nor a musical snob, I play for fun whatever music floats my boat at that particular time. I use Violino strings (because I like them best) and having tried various brands of rosin I find what suits my style is to regularly use Obligato with a once a week brushing of Schwarz. This combination seems to balance the bow/string relationship to my "feel" and desired tone.

Excelente aderência e som

Como utilizo as cordas Obligato, decidi experimentar esta resina e noto uma diferença grande. A aderência das cerdas com as cordas é maior, o som é mais ressonante e suave. A resina até liberta um aroma agradável.
