Really nice finish and decent sound

PST7's seem to be the sweet spot for budget cymbals that would not dissapoint in terms of sound quality. This one I liked right away.

Pro's:
This heavy ride most definitely won't dissapoint. Finish screams quality, and sound is, well, the way I like it: crisp, pingy (high pitch), not roomy, does not "swoosh" like thin/medium rides often do.

Cons:
You can't really crash-hit a heavy ride like this, so don't expect it to be crash-able exactly. You surely can hit it like a crash, but you need some serious force to bring it to life. I would go with an 18'' crash with this one for crash/riding.

Quality Ride Cymbal

First off I just want to say that I am super happy with this ride cymbal! The Paiste PST7 line are ridiculously good quality cymbals and so affordable. Whether you are a drummer just starting off or you are an intermediate or above, these cymbals are a must. Paiste are already a great cymbal brand but with the price of the PST7's you can have a great cymbal collection for a very affordable price, which is even cheaper when purchased from Thomann thanks to their low price of this line. This ride cymbal has a great sound, nice and clear and great stick definition on the body. The bell could be a bit louder but I know most heavy ride cymbals suffer from this but all in all it is still a nice and clear ping from the bell. Great cymbal and great price.

Ergänzung/Alternative zu Paiste Rude 3000 Powerride

Das Rude habe ich nun schon seit vielen, vielen Jahren.
Irgendwie musste da mal was neues ausprobiert werden.
Das PST 7 Heavy Ride erschien für mein Vorhaben das richtige zu sein.
Da Thomann immer wieder eine Reise wert ist, habe ich das Becken (neben einigen anderen) vor Ort angetestet und meine ursprüngliche Einschätzung wurde bestätigt.
Für den aufgerufenen Preis (auch wenn der in den letzten beiden Jahren deutlich nach oben gegangen ist) bekommt man nicht so viel angeboten, was deutlich besser wäre. Etwas zum Sound zu schreiben, finde ich immer äußert problematisch. Das "sieht" letztlich jedes Ohr anders.
Ich fand den Sound prima. Deutlich heller im Vergleich zu meinem Rude.
Und das wollte ich ja auch.
Also habe ich das Ding mitgenommen.

Inzwischen hängen beide Ridebecken am Set - was soll's.
Eine weitere Möglichkeit.

Ich würd's wieder kaufen.
