Looking for a great heavy ride cymbal? This one great!

Was looking for an heavier ride cymbal to replace my 20" Full Ride Paiste Signature model( great model my the way) and fpund this to be the one. Needed something to could be heard over the rest of the band, loud guitar player! Don't think this one is only for heavy rock music etc only, is can easily fit in with many different band/music set ups.
Great bell sound but also a nice wash when played on the body of the cymbal. When the guys in my band heard it they all loved the sound it makes.

Heavy and loud

It weighs a lot, but once you hear it you will understand. Exceptional distinct hits all over the cymbal. Really loud and will easily push through.

Tell me why I have to be the Powerslave!

What a ride cymbal this is. Yes, I may be biased, cause I'm a big Iron Maiden and Nicko McBrain fan. But i'm also a Sabian guy. So buying a Paiste is a bit unusual for me, but damn, this ride is loud and explosive. And the bell, holy sh*t. Like Deadpool said, I'm touching myself tonight.

I have always wanted this cymbal, and now I had a "good" reason to buy it. Playing a lot of Maiden song in my band

Das Ride hält das, was die Soundbeispiele auf der Paiste-Hompage versprechen. Am Rand angeschlagen (ohne zu crashen) kommt der kräftige tiefe Grundton sofort deutlich zum Tragen. Auf der Fläche ergibt sich immer ein klarer brillanter und definierter Stockanschlag. Zugleich liefert das Ride neben seinem Grundton einen wunderschönen „silbrig“ anmutenden „Wash“. Hierbei geht aber die Definition des Stockanschlages nie verloren. Die Bell klingt satt, nicht zu hoch und setzt sich immer deutlich durch. Insbesondere wenn man sie mit der Schulter des Stocks anschlägt kommt es zu einem satten kräftigen und mit einer sehr schönen hohen Oberschwingung versehenen beinahe wirklich glockenähnlichen Klang.
Mit seinem tiefen sauber erklingendem Grundton, seiner Anschlagsdefinition und dem „silbrigen“ Höheschimmer macht es seinem „Bell Ride“ alle Ehre. Das hat für mich den Grund zum Kauf gegeben.

Klanglich ist das Bell Ride natürlich für Metal sehr gut geeignet. Es lässt sich jedoch auch sehr gut etwas gemäßigter spielen.

Wer nach einem Ride sucht, dass eine schöne „fette“ Bell aufweist, die sich noch dazu auch bei komplizierteren Patterns leicht treffen lässt (man muss sich ja das Leben nicht unnötig schwer machen;-) und auf einen definierten Stockanschlag Wert legt, der sollte sich das Bell Ride mal näher ansehen.

Zudem macht die „Reflector“-Optik garantiert auf jeder Bühne wirklich was her.

Ich würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.
