VERY WELL MADE AND FINISHED INSTRUMENT WITH EXCELLENT HARD CASE

I wanted a Contrabass recorder for use with my recorder group and this instrument has fulfilled all my expectations.
I find it suits my way of playing very well and produces a lovely tone with good response throughout its entire range. The keywork gives security to note production, especially in the upper range of the instrument (no need for "pinched holes").
It's made to a very high standard of workmanship and I'm sure it will allow me to make good music for many years to come, being of robust and serviceable construction, with a strong, well made case to protect it during transport etc..
The purchase price is not insignificant but compares very favourably with other Contrabasses .
I can thoroughly recommend this instrument to everyone.

This is a well-priced instrument that amply fulfills the role of the contrabass in a recorder band. It responds easily over the 2 octave range. The low notes require the usual subtle approach. The finish is fine and it comes with its custom hard case as part of the price. The only improvement i could suggest would be to the way the sections are held - perhaps with clasps that hold the section firmly in place?
Anyway, I am delighted to have this instrument.

eine große Bereicherung für das Blockflötenensemble

Ich habe das Instrument zur Verstärkung der Bässe in einem Blockflötenchor gekauft und wir sind mehr als zufrieden. Alle Töne sprechen gut an und trotz der Größe der Flöte ist jeder Ton bequem zu greifen, auch für Leute mit durchschnittlich langen Fingern. Die Verarbeitung ist tadellos, ebenso der mitgelieferte Koffer. Allerdings muss man sich dazu noch den ebenfalls von Kunath hergestellten extra Stachel besorgen um das Instrument bequem und sicher im stehen spielen zu können. Irgendwelche andere Notbehelfe haben sich da nicht bewährt. Trotz des stolzen Preises eine ganz klare Empfehlung.
