Unacceptable Quality control blemishes and flaws!

Considering the cost of this item it came with much disappointment with acid leak,
blotches and black contamination into the gold plate. Photographs were taken before it's return, serial no. 2500.

It was so bad that we had to visit a well known Saxophone dealer in London to make a comparison and took photographs before return. All their products were clean of blotches and contamination free so we are not happy that Thomann sent us this.

There needs to be more quality control, it is by all accounts an excellent product but it did not impress due to the dreadful finish and potential problems that could occur in future use.

As it was sent straight back we could not rate how it played or how it sounded, big let down from Otto Link and Thomann, suspect B stock. It was sent back but we are tempted to cancel all together if this is what we are going to be sent.

Gutes Metallmundstück

Ich habe das "Otto Link Vintage" mit mehreren Metallmundstückherstellern und dem Otto Link "Super Tone Master" verglichen.

Das Mundstück hat einen kernigen, aber dennoch warmen und voluminösen Klang. Wie zu erwarten, klingt es nicht so scharf wie die Metallmundstücke von Herstellern die eher dafür bekannt sind. Nach meiner Meinung hat es einen obertonreicheren Sound als das "Super Tone Master".

Es klingt in allen Registern ausgewogen und spricht gut an. Top Tones kommen mühelos.
Die verschiedenen Otto Link Vintage Mundstücke die ich getestet habe, haben sich nur in Nuancen voneinander unterschieden.

Excelente boquilla ¡¡¡

Boquilla muy buena, de gran proyeccion y sonido de los clasicos del Hardbop. Para tocar con marcha y ritmo. Su sonido es mas redondo y mas oscuro, a mi gusto, que la Otto Link New York. Solo un pequeñisimo pero: su embocadura con el tudel es muy estrecha, y afecta al corcho. Funciona bien en jazz, claro, pero tambien en pop-rock. Me gusta especialmente la abrazadera de Otto Link.

Está muy bien presentada y acabada, y creo que es lo que esperaba y quería. una boquilla flexible pero con un sonido puro que saca las mejores características de cada tipo de caña. Perfecta para pop y jazz.
